Bognor Regis - Promenade Cycle route (NCN2) rounds the bend at Rock Point heading for Felpham Village.

Bognor Regis - NCN2 leaves Summerley Lane to run off road; the lampost ahead has a sign pointing right up the narrow shared pathway. This is easy to miss if you are not careful.

Bognor Regis - NCN2 uses an off road path around the edge of King George Field after leaving Summerley Lane. Paths run in a variety of directions - NCN2 bears right on entering the field.

Bognor Regis - NCN2 route leaving King George Field at Felpham & bearing right back onto road (Triton Way)

Bognor Regis - NCN2 at Triton Way Felpham. Lampost on right indicates that NCN2 bears left at junction - this sign is easy to miss.

Bognor Regis - NCN2 at Andrew Avenue Felpham. At the junction ahead, NCN2 bears right. Signage is easy to miss and a wrong turn means joining a very busy road.

Bognor Regis - the Chichester-Bognor Cycleway runs through an unmapped pathway to link into Winston Crescent. At the far end is an instruction for cyclists to dismount; but there is no such instruction when approaching from this direction.

Bognor Regis - the shortest bit of cycletrack in the area is this 3 metre stretch with badly worn markings which is part of the Chichester-Bognor Cycleway. The crossing ahead is a Toucan, with cycle aspect display.

Bognor Regis - Felpham Bikes 125 Felpham Way

Bognor Regis - Kampos cycles, London Road

Track through Ancton Woods, near Elmer. This is cyclable with care; there are two narrow bridges to negotiate but is a quiet alternative to unpleasant riding on a very busy A.259 between Littlehampton & Bognor Regis

The site of Stewart Bridge, on the long abandoned Arundel to Portsmouth Canal. The remains of the next swivel bridge along, Hollinsworth Bridge, are stored here for restoration purposes.

D & D Cycles, Barnham Road Barnham

Start of the Cycle route from Barnham towards Felpham & Bognor Regis, at Church Lane Barnham. Note the 5-bar gate is normally closed, access is via the side gate. The large gate is opened only to access overflow parking at the Church

Cyclists from the CycleBognor group using an ancient trackway to avoid the busy A.259 at Grevatts Lane

Negotiating Grevatts Bridge, crossing the Ryebank Rife (River) in Ancton Woods. This neglected track would make an excellent addition to the local cycle network in Bognor Regis, if a few improvements could be funded.

Bognor Regis - Cyclists at London Road Car park proving the need for cycle parking at this location!

Bognor Regis - NCN 2 cycle route along the promenade towards Felpham, completely blocked by shingle thrown up in a winter storm. The track at this point often has shingle thrown up during high seas but its normally passable with care. It wa ... [more]

This picturesque route around Pagham Harbour forms part of a traffic free route between Bognor, Sidlesham, and then on to Selsey, but unfortunately cycling is prohibited. Another missing link for reasons that are not quite clear

This pathway behind the Beach Huts at Aldwick is an extension of Bognor Prom. Cycling is allowed the full length of the prom but its not clear whether this bit still counts as the prom and there is no signage at all on this stretch to permi ... [more]

Bognor Regis - New shared use cycle/pedestrian path under contstruction between Barnham and Walberton

This public right of way between Bognor Regis and Littlehampton would be a brilliant cycle route with a bit of compacting of the foreshore. If you wish to avoid the busy main road, as our group found, not all of the alternative route is cyc ... [more]
