In the plans (30NOV2007) for the refurbishment (in relation to the large carehome development) there is no provision for a dropped kerb. The red line on the picture indicates the natural line for cyclists coming out of the popular cycle path from Downhams Lane. This lane is the only practical route for Woodhead Drive families to their local schools. Due to the blind spot where joining the road, this should be fitted with a flat topped speed table. That would slow traffic and give a measure of priority for emerging cyclists.
