[Image taken 30.4.23] Scout Hut, York Road, Haxby. The 2nd Haxby & Wigginton Scout group of York Minster District Scouts (www.yorkminsterscouts.org.uk/local-groups/2nd-haxby-and-wigginton) had a tableau with three scarecrows in front of its home. It offered a popup cafe staffed by members of the groups based here. The young people served drinks and homemade biscuits and cakes for the duration of the 2023 Scarecrow Festival (www.hwmc.org.uk/scarecrows). There is easy to find, very close to the entrance, cycle parking. The adult who arrived with a child after I took this image pointed out it was covered. She said she always appreciates cycle parking when there is some and particularly if it is under cover. Context and other images this event today: #193497.
