[UPDATE: Late May 2023 the scaffolding was removed] [Image taken 13.5.23] Scarborough Terrace looking towards Filey Terrace, junction with Hudson Street, York. A local company – CPS Roofing - is working on the property with the scaffolding. The ladder has been in this position all the time there was someone on the roof. The ladder obstructs the pavement. I reported it to CYC. On 19.5.23 I received a reply: "We have contacted the roofing company and the ladder should now be removed from the footpath."
Note the company’s van opposite. It's on double yellows. As with the ladder, it's there all the time someone is working on the roof. These should be 'people spaces'. But there are rat runners and locals who try drive at the 20mph limit despite people walking or mobility scooting and children learning to cycle in the carriageway.
