Highway Code Rule 240 (backed up in law)
www.direct.gov.uk/en/TravelAndTransport/Highwaycode/DG_069860
You MUST NOT stop or park on a tram or cycle lane.

This includes being in it just a little bit. Having said that, the design of the cyclepath here falls well short of acceptable. Any car parked in this bay causes danger to cyclists if they stay within the cyclelane as it's in the "door zone", a place where cyclists regularly get knocked off by doors opening without looking, which is also an offense, Highway Code Rule 239 (backed up by the RTA).

Notice that I move out of the cyclelane to pass the van and am right on the edge when passing the car.

Finally, notice the SUV directly in front at the lights, towards the end of the clip. Notice that it's front, when it's stopped, is lined up with the pole holding the parking restrictions sign. Then notice exactly how far back the Advance Stop Box starts, at least 2-3metres earlier. Yet another driver ignoring the law about ASLs. All too common.
