We had the fun and joy of the winter raised strip replacement on this wooden bridge.

Then it was removed after considerable complaints.

Well this time I bump into a couple of engineers working on the new replacement. The plan this time is to take up all the boards and triple the amount of grip within the board itself.
Currently there is about 1 inch of grip in a 6-8 inch wide board. They want to put in two more. The work will cuase some disruption, but the y plan on doing this work overnight to cause as little disruption as possible to people riding.
I do think there needs to be alternative routing signs for both directions. Just like roadworks that take out a major route. You'd not expect to be dumped in the middle of a well established route as a driver, why expect to do it to anyone riding?
