Just witnessed this lorry illegally driving along the pavement for about 80 yards to stop in a place to block clear view of the traffic lights.

Yet again, deliveries to Costa Coffee park illegally on the pavement. Not only is this illegal, but look how dangerous it is. The lights for straight on are completely blocked from view for people driving and riding. There's a chance that they'll confuse the (currently green) pedestrian light ahead for the junction light. Especially if they are used to the right turn being red a lot of the time when straight on is green.

Here's a run through of just how often this happens.

Perhaps Costa Coffee would like to contribute to the estimated £300m UK wide bill for pavement repairs caused by parked vehicles?

Also, it ought to be noted that this location has "no room for a cyclelane", although has enough space for a lorry to park. The cyclelane stops around 20 yards before this photo and starts again over the bridge ahead. This cyclelane is otherwise around 2 miles long and only stops for junctions. The bridge ahead has around 5,000 cycle journeys over it, every day, so that's how important it is.

Of course, people cycling here regularly get hassled by people driving too close, honking aggressively, or even attempting to pass within the same lane. The result is lots of people cycling come up onto the pavement for around 50 yards for their own safety. A large proportion of people cycling here are school children, some as young as 5 or 6 years.
