The worst recent obstructions on Love Lane (including #191999 / #192002) have been cleared, but they haven't touched this which one might not notice (until too late) and where I estimate the headroom at about 1.8m.
Love Lane is a designated cycle route according to the blue signs (albeit not according to the council's map). 'Headroom' in the middle of the path here was ~1.0m, and at the edge of the path ~1.3m. This was the worst bit as of 14/03/23 … [more]

There isn't a good place to move from carriageway to the wide section of shared-use path in order to bypass vehicle queues for the lights and reach the cycle advance box (though there should be space on carriageway between the two lanes of … [more]
Dropped kerb to move from shared-use path to cycle advance box doesn't make it easy to get towards the far side of the box if turning right towards Fulbourn.
'Smart Junction' trial sensor at the top, bike sensor immediately above traffic lights, low-level bike repeater lights below main lights.

Not on a signed cycle route (that's Love Lane nearby), but shown on the council cycle map. Multiple entrances to chipshop premises on the right. Very common to see bikes locked to the chicane, sometimes obstructing it, because there's no … [more]
Disgraceful bit of highway engineering, with the lorry forced by the island into the end of the on-road cycle lane. Nothing here to help southbound cycles reaching the end of the off-road path.
First 'Copenhagen crossing' type junction (Footway/cycleway continuous, without kerbs, over side-road) in Cambridge

A dead-end footway. Presumably this was intended as a connection with Cherry Hinton Recreation ground at the time this housing estate was built - but for some reason the link was never opened.
Official sign suggesting bikes should be attached to these railings adjacent to the car storage area. Workable, but pretty shabby offering here by Cambridge City Council. Sign lectures: WARNING Please do not fix bikes this side which … [more]
Nice looking cycleway here - but follow it and it gives up near the junction ahead. Also that sign on the left has the transport modes the wrong way round (but at least it is off the path).
Estimating the width of this shared use cycleway using the iPhone measure app. Width shown is 2.83m but add about 76cm for the manhole cover. Width of shared use cycleway: 3.5m
Grim 'No ball games sign' extinghuishes life and fun creating a dead environment, and at the same time loads of space is given over to a car park.
Segregated cycleway – the cycle way side is so overgrown (see #49969) and blocked (#49966) behind the camera that I expect most use the pedestrian side.
Annoying obstruction on the access to this cycle path. Compare with the same scene 10 years ago: #7913. The street light has moved to the middle - which could facilitate removal of the concrete bollard with the pram arms. The houses have … [more]
The cycle lanes in Cherry Hinton are very poor. Narrow, close to parked cars and systematically overrun at the mini roundabouts as here. These are not an asset, they should be removed and the road environment re-modelled in the centre to … [more]
