Vinery Road junction with Coldham's Lane after the direction of motor traffic was changed within the last month.
Vinery Way, after recent changes, it’s not strictly a cul-de-sac (no through road) for motor traffic, because an arm of Vinery Road comes back to Coldham’s Lane. There's a new sign to the Christadelphians Hall. Compare with the same … [more]
The road markings at this end of Thoday Street have been re-done. It looks like a better job than previously done in 2018: see #98813.
No left turn, except cycles - but the problem is that Hemingford Road has not been modified to accept contraflow cycling. See also #103577.
Except Cycles plates have at last reappeared about a year and after I reported they were missing. See #137443.
Panton Street the section beyond the junction with Saxon Street on the right is now two-way for all traffic. This is to allow access to the school and university car park. Before the junction Panton Street is one way towards the camera but … [more]
Great to see that the area of Mill Road by the bridge has at last reopened after the fire. Shops much easier to access now. https://t.co/oQD1veOKgw
This exception for cycling is great, but the necessary changes have not yet been implemented on Hemingford Road. Still like this at #175990.
Clare delighted that at last she can ride both ways in the street where she's been working for the last 30+ years.
Contraflow cycling Norwich Street, Cambridge Fantastic! Such a small, simple, but incredibly important breakthrough. No entry, except cycles... in the UK! Thank you to whoever is responsible.
Just seen this sign on leaving our house that two way cycling in Thoday Street is legal at last! Enjoy this gallery of other ones nearby: https://cambridge.cyclestreets.net/photomap/tags/twowaycycling2018/ OSM updated: … [more]
I am very pleased to see this "Except cycles" at the otherwise banned right turn into Kingston Street. I noticed it for the first time this morning.
Vinery Road has no entry with except cycles panels and there's a contraflow cycle lane. I cycled down there, and a car came round the corner and shouted at me that it was a one way street. 11 Aug 2023: the above sentence rewritten as: I … [more]
Springfield Road with an 'Except cycles' subpanel on only one of the two 'No Entry' signs, and there's a sharrow.
At last the old No Entry signs have been replaced with new ones that have 'Except cycles' panels - great! But that's about 7 months after the (pathetically inadequate) sharrow was added on the road surface - see #63237. I feel that I'm … [more]
Cockburn Street progress - but the contraflow lane pipes cyclists into parked motor vehicles. See an earlier image at #39536.
Except cycles signs have appeared, and the no entry signs themselves have been replaced. We know this because the old one has been left behind. However there's still a keep right arrow there on the right hand side of the image, with "One … [more]

No entry except cycles sign at Kingston Street in Cambridge in the snow. Taken during the first Infrastructure Safari with Cycling Embassy of Great Britain, see also #48242.
The plethora of signposts blocking the pavement includes a "no passage - except cycles" sign. This is at the rising bollards on the bus route through the "commercial estate / "sheds" on Newmarket Road.
The "Except Cycles" actually applies to the "No right turn" that is on the opposite side of this sign!
