There are wide hatched areas on both sides of the carriageway that could be used for pop-up cycle lanes, but they wouldn't be very long and the rest of Madingley Road would still be a nightmare so is it worth it?

Actually cyclists have a choice whether to join the carriageway or stay on the shared-use path at the Park & Ride junction.
