Road closed for lockdown road works outside St John's College - but I think cyclists were getting past without problem.

Closure for Extinction Rebellion blockade - they're letting cycles through, but they could make it clearer that they're not meaning to block the cycle lane! Cars are diverting via Brookside & St Eligius St as well as Regent St (the signed ... [more]

Road closure (except pedestrians and cyclists) due to the Extinction Rebellion blockade at the Trumpington Road roundabouts - it's interesting how much the police and highway authority are going along with it.

Extinction Rebellion blockade at the Trumpington Road roundabouts - they're happy for cycles to pass, but that gap may be a bit overwhelmed on Monday morning.

Notice on the end of the bike racks. It's worded a little ambiguously so it could mean they're going to remove the racks (doubt it for such a short time) or that they will be unavailable to use, which seems more likely. Either way, the road ... [more]

To be honest, I'm not sure which bit of road they're talking about closing temporarily. Where is no 19? I'm guessing it's the footpath in front of the University Arms Hotel. ETA: it is. They've closed the cycle bypass lane round the closur ... [more]

Like Regent Street, this road has been badly in need of resurfacing for a long time now.

Wheeler Street cycle lane closed for four weeks.

As the sign says, Tennis Court Road will be closed from this point (just after the second entrance to the Downing Site) for the dates given. Wonder what this will do for the queues for the Grand Arcade car park. There was a short queue behi ... [more]

I'm guessing this means it'll just be the road that's closed not the footway and that buses will be moving one way up Bridge Street. If so, that may be nicer for people on bikes for a while.

Contractor McLaren all but closed the exit from Parker's Piece to Regent Street and installed temporary signals with a very long cycle time.

Contractor McLaren almost closed this busy exit from Parker's Piece for reconstruction of the University Arms hotel. This was not agreed in public at least. No work was in progress on the closed part.

Yellow sign explaining the closure of Green Dragon Bridge.

It might look like Park Street Car Park is falling down but I've been reassured the supports are only there to hold the new rendering until it sets properly. At the top of the photo you can see where engineers have cut away at the ceilin ... [more]

Park Street Cycle Park cleared of bikes and bike racks during reassessment of the structure of the car park. See #53299.

This short cyclepath is to get from the road the photo is taken from to the crossing (lights obscured by the AY07 BPE Anglain Water van). Note that the signs and van are in the cyclepath and no restriction of it is signed. I believe the ... [more]

Cyclists struggling with the road closure for the Cambridge Half-marathon before the Cycling Campaign's rapid intervention squad opened it up a bit.

Most of cycleway on Parkers Piece has been barriered off with officials stopping anyone travelling through. No signage to warn of this. You cannot travel diagonally accross. Barriers have been partially blocking the entrance to Parkers Pie ... [more]

Temporary dismount during Riverside works.

Road works at the city end of Riverside, Cambridge; cycleway closed but as I (Kevin Steinhardt) always use the road just to the south, this closure isn't affecting me. May affect you though.

Mill Road closed for the Mill Road Winter Fair

The Mayor (and South American friend) arriving on foot at the Mill Road Winter Fair.

St Andrews Street closed on 20 September 2010, owing to sewerage repair(?) works.

New Bit was, on 22 September 2010, closed for widening and resurfacing; the works are still taking place to my knowledge.

Information about what's happening at New Bit. There is a notice at the Brooklands Avenue entrance too. The dashed lines in green show the diversion route.

Cycleway upgradation works are affecting traffic on Madingley Road, but at least pedestrians (technically, still traffic) are being catered for.

Partially reopened crossing of Queens Road/Burrells Walk

A plethora of signs at roadworks on Mill Road. See photo #24024 for a close-up and photo #24023 for an earlier sign about the roadworks

The earlier sign #24023 on Mill Road said "Cyclists Access as usual" but at the actual road closure this one says "Cyclists Please Dismount and Use Footpath". In practice the footpath is reasonably wide and only a short stretch of road is c ... [more]

Wow, a cyclist-friendly sign at road works on Mill Road. There's a photo #24024 of the next sign as well.

Traffic lights and alternating two-way traffic while Trinity St is closed for work on underground pipes

Rush-hour collision at the Royal Cambridge Hotel roundabout - cyclists getting through, other traffic backed up way down the Barton Road.

Rush-hour accident at the Royal Cambridge Hotel roundabout - clearing up a cyclist's bits and pieces. Five or six emergency vehicles, major congestion.

Flooded cycle lane.

Mill Road closed for resurfacing. Bikes seem to be free to continue ahead.

No smoking in this cycle lane ? Gas maintenance works on Milton Road.

Pembroke St closed due to a collapsed sewer - they really do seem to be trying to keep cyclists out too.
