In its own way, rather beautiful. A temporary four way crossing control point (because of road works happening nearby) with provision for those on bikes.

The iron work is still a little raised but Short Street is finally being resurfaced, with the setts removed too. Let's hope it lasts.

A cycle lane created during these works on Hills Road which are necessary to re-site some services which lie under the road.
It's great that there's a northbound cycle lane on Hills Road while northbound vehicles have to go a long way around!
Its good to see a cycling gap in this 'road closure'. But the gap on the far side of the road does not look official.
