The end of Windsor Road where an onward connection into the Darwin Green development is under construction.
This is going to be great - every motor vehicle will encroach on the contraflow cycle lane. It may be better to use the next road north (also contraflow).
Southbound cyclists are told to dismount for the roadworks here. Northbound the cycle lane is supposedly closed, but most vehicles are easily keeping out of it.
Work in progress to make the 'Robin Hood junction' more pedestrian (but not cycle) friendly. Four-way lights control and sometimes long queues. OK to cycle with the traffic, but a nightmare to work out where to cross if wheeling or walking.

Temporary arrangements at the south end of Histon Road and two contractor's vehicles largely blocking the contraflow cycle lane.
Conventional footways by the look of it at this new access to the West Cambridge site - no cycle provision.
Having rebuilt the first half of the path to Chaucer Road, the contractors are now working on the other half.
The abandoned cycleway project seems to be growing a nice layer of grass. At least no-one is parking on this side now.
Pemberton Terrace has had some patching-up - but nearby Coronation Street, which is in far worse shape, has not been touched.
Of course cyclists are just passing on the footway to the left - but it would have been better to make proper arrangements.
Tangle of services under new cycle lane. If this were a bus lane, would they need to be moved at great expense.
First 'Cambridge Kerbs' in Hills Rd. 20mm rise in 125mm, will segregate motor traffic from cycle lane
At last the dreaded setts are being sorted out, with luck - I assume they'll move on to Bateman Street if this works.
These works herald the start of some very bad changes for cycling along Madingley Road. Big junctions with staggered crossings for pedestrians and cyclists.
Green Dragon Bridge - renovation and repair work still under way but its been going on for so long that they've been told to open it for walking and cycling.

Having dug up this area a month ago (#45306), they're off again! With luck the pedestrian environment at least will be improved.
There are at least four sets of roadworks in south Cambridge at the moment - I didn't think that was supposed to happen?
There are at least four sets of roadworks in south Cambridge at the moment - I didn't think that was supposed to happen? But I haven't seen a red light here yet.

Traffic turning south onto Hills Road is using what is usually the northbound filter lane to Lensfield Road - watch out, pedestrians!
There are at least four sets of roadworks across south Cambridge at the moment - but at least we've got a nice new ASL here.
Work is almost finished on upgrading the crossing next to Pizza Hut. Good to see the right _and_ left turn now available!
Get in Lane When finished this cycle lane will help cyclists get into the right position at the busy junction ahead. Its a little confusing at the moment because the roadworks force all the traffic into the cycle lane.
Why does it take so long to get things fixed here?? 2) barriers missing for many weeks. [FINALLY fixed 12 Jan 2011 - see #27711 ]
Cycle path looks rather narrow. It is also to have access to the Kaleidoscope CUP development and to Clarendon Road/ Fitzwilliam Road.
